This was heartbreaking and hilarious. The wellness industry is big biz.

I know you’ve probably researched everything but have you ever heard of Arnold Chiari Malformation? My son had chronic migraines and he was diagnosed with ACM and had surgery to correct it. Just thought I’d throw that out there.

Sending healing hugs.

You had me at "room for boobs on a massage table." That is something!!!

I never thought I’d value boob space, but looking back, it was pretty nice!

So funny. I’m going to tell my husband when he wants sex and I don’t that sperm retention is a form of wellness he should embrace! 😂 And that he should be thanking me for bringing him such clarity of mind.

And yes to Sarah Polley and her book. I read it via audiobook. I watched her on Road to Avonlea and loved the show so it was fascinating to hear the behind the scenes atmosphere and her struggles.

Happy Pilates training.

I really wonder how many sperm retainers there are in the world 😅

I definitely resonate with responding to the body’s needs and listening to what it has to say. It’s an odd thing to do in today’s society, approaching my health in this way felt like a 24/7 job for years so it’s no mean fete. It’s eventually become my way of life, opened up a dream way of living and has led to continued improvements health-wise. Also includes a few health relapses and plenty of dark nights and monumental ups and downs so in no way has it been linear or any kind of quick fix.

Thanks so much for sharing all you have. I don’t feel like we (collectively speaking) thoroughly understand what health and wellness means. It’s a lot to figure out.

Maybe I was the potato lady 😂😂 I can relate to your search for solutions, and to people constantly suggesting things as though you haven’t already tried or become worse because of something you tried… I have an ibd, and chronic pain in all sorts of places. I used to have chronic headaches, not migraines. Those have stopped! Woohoo! But my worst pain comes from a neck ligament sprain brought on by a yoga master recommended by someone to help my other pains… I ended up flat on my back in bed for two months with electric shocks and convulsions 😝 oh, I’m hypermobile, I stretch to the max and snap!! Take care my dear. If I hear of a magic scratch and sniff I’ll let you know!

That’s terrible, Francesca! I’ve likewise found that so many medical “experts” have no idea how to help with chronic pain. Hang in there and thanks for keeping an eye out 🙃

Omg. So many quotable lines I don’t know where to begin. Like Polly, I also got off the wellness train, and though I’m still dizzy as f%#! I’ve never been healthier or happier. Strange paradox here. And also! You live near the OR coast? We’re halfway between the coast and Portland in the foothills…

Bravo for getting off! I have one foot off the train and one foot on, and I’m being stretched like a cartoon character 😅 And I live in San Francisco, but would love to visit Oregon again one day! I traveled to Bend every so often for work (in a past life) and thought it was soooo stunning.
